One sofa, one wardrobe, a bed frame and two mattresses — this is the job councils make you wait three weeks for. We usually do it the same day.
Getting it out
Everything is carried by us. If a wardrobe will not go round the stairwell we dismantle it in the room and take the pieces down. Doorframes and banisters are protected.
Where it goes
Anything in good condition is offered to local charities. Mattresses go to a dedicated recycler where the springs, foam and fabric are separated.
